    MAFS.K.CC.1.1 – Count to 100 by ones and by tens.

    MAFS.K.CC.1.2 - Count forward beginning from a given number within the known sequence (instead of having to begin at 1). 

     

    Tuesday - Count to 100! Count by ones and skip count and count by tens. Your child can write numbers 1-100.

     
    Wednesday - Think Central - There are two assignments on Think Central.
     

    Friday - Give your student a number and have them count forward from that number (Ex. say 29 and they have to say 30, 31, 32 and 33).

    Ways that I can move - have your student write two complete sentences and draw a picture to show different ways that they move. These may include: slide, run, hop, zig zag, etc.
    If you  are looking for a family activity it would be  fun to create an obstacle course that allows them to move in many different ways. Send a picture to Dojo.

    SS.K.E.1.1 – Describe different kinds of jobs that people do and the tools or equipment used. 
     
    I will be reading informational books and sharing about more jobs this week on Dojo.
    Have your student write about what they want to be when they grow up (does not have to be one that was shared on Dojo). They need to draw a picture of them on the job and also write three complete sentences about what they will be doing on the job and/or the equipment used while working.

      Wednesday -  Outline yourself using what you have available (chalk, markers, rocks, etc.) and measure three parts of your body using standard or non-standard units of measurement. Send one picture to Dojo.
       
      Friday -  Shadow Measurement 
      Instructions:
      Choose a time to do this experiment. Do this in early morning or late afternoon.
      Place the toys on the paper.
      Using the marker, trace the outline of the shadows on the paper.
      Using a standard or Non-standard unit, measure the actual size of the toy compared to the size of the shadow. Send one picture to Dojo.
       
      Some questions to further discuss:
      Do the shadow stay the same? How do they change with time?
      Are the shadows larger, the same size or smaller than the toys?
      When you rotate the toys, what happens to the shadows?
