Statistics and Probability
At the end of the unit students will be able to find:
- the mean
- the median
- the mode
- draw a histogram from a grouped frequency table
- construct a cumulative frequency diagram
- know the difference between an ‘outcome’ and an ‘event’ and be able to calculate the probability of an event from the probabilities of the outcomes in the sample space
- use the addition law for mutually exclusive events
- know the multiplication law for independent events
- construct a tree diagram
