Hello Sparr Elementary 4th Grade Parents and Guardians,
First off, I want to say I miss seeing your kiddo and hope everyone in your family is doing well. I know that this is going to be a trying time for all of us and we will make it through together. I will work hard to maintain open communication and if you have any questions or concerns please let me know.
Primarily, 4th grade teachers will use Google Classroom as our distance learning platform. I will assign tasks in Studies Weekly and STEMScopes (both accessible through your student's desktop). I will also be setting up Zoom meetings in the future so I can see everyone's face and we can have some fun. Your children will be required to complete all other subject area school work as well.
If your child does not have access to a computer, please call Sparr Elementary (352) 671-6060. We can make arrangements for your child to borrow a chromebook during the duration of distance learning.
If you do not have internet service, please reach out to us as well. We have paper learning packets that can be picked up weekly for your child to complete.
These packets are not to be returned. In order for your child to receive a grade, you will take a picture of their work and email it to their teachers.
Your child’s teachers are:
Mary Getsee – Math
Eva Grubbs – ELA
Christina McGowan – Science/Social Studies
You will click on each teacher’s website on the Sparr Elementary Homepage to find information regarding their assignments and how to access them.
Every student will complete the following assignments/tasks each week (Usually Monday will mark the beginning of the week, but this week we are starting Wednesday, April 1st):
