Ms. Caplin was born in the Bluegrass State and raised in Florida. She attended K-12 public schools primarily in Lake as well as Alachua County. After graduating from high school, Ms. Caplin chose to further her education at the University of Florida and in 2009 she was awarded a BA in History.
It was not until after graduating UF that Ms. Caplin realized she wanted to teach. Ms. Caplin has a total of six years experience working for the School Board of Alachua County. For two years Ms. Caplin substitute taught at the secondary level. In addition to subbing, Ms. Caplin served nearly four years as an ESE Paraprofessional at Buchholz High School. Throughout most of Ms. Caplin's career she has worked with students on the Autism Spectrum Disorder.
The 2017-2018 school year will be Ms. Caplin's first year teaching! Ms. Caplin looks forward to becoming a part of the Liberty Lion Community and getting to know the students at Liberty Middle School! Ms. Caplin also enjoys the beach, Disney, family, water slides, and is an avid lover of all animals! (Cats are her favorite!)
