• Marion Oaks Elementary School Library has a new student centered self-directed multidisciplinary learning environment called Makerspace.

Author John J. Burke writes – “A Makerspace is an area in a library where users can use tools and equipment to design, build, and create all sorts of different things.”  Studies show that when small libraries offer potentially disruptive technologies such as 3D printing, magic can happen.

Within MOES Makerspace students explore, code, develop critical thinking skills, mentor, problem solve, and investigate with items such as Legos, building blocks, circuits, scrabble, sewing machines, marble maze and so much more.
