Mr. Michael P. Stepp
Mr. Michael P. Stepp is a graduate of the Marion County School District and Central Florida Community College with an Associate of Science degree in Building Construction Technology. After graduating Mr. Stepp became a State Registered Class A General Contractor in 1983. He later upgraded his license to State Certified Class A General Contractor, building and designing custom homes, additions, renovations, remodeling, and small commercial projects.
Mr. Stepp has volunteered with the EMIT FIRST robotics program at Forest High School since 2010, accumulating over 1500 hours instructing the students. For this commitment, he was awarded the 2017 Volunteer of the Year Award for Marion County.
In 2017 after over 30 years in the construction industry, Mr. Stepp decided to scale back his construction business and pursue a teaching career, teaching his occupation and skills to the students of the EMIT program.
