Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Tracie Johnson
My name is Tracie Johnson and I am new to Forest High School. I have been teaching for quite a while now but teaching is not my first career. I proudly served in the United States Army and Army Reserves as both an enlisted member and an officer. While enlisted, I was a Field Combat Medic and as an officer, I was a part of the Chemical Corps. After my time in the service, I was a research Botanist at the Missouri Botanical Gardens. While there, I was on the teams that developed treatments for Leukemia and Breast Cancer. I also worked for Monsanto as a researcher developing sustainable food sources. While I was at Monsanto, I was approached by a group that took scientists from industry and placed them in the classroom. I saw the unique opportunity and took part in it. I have taught at both the high school and university levels. I enjoy science (both teaching and learning) and I hope that I can share my passion for all of the sciences with my students.
