• Welcome to Chemistry!

    Chemistry Cartoon

Students explore the fundamental principles of chemistry which characterize the properties of matter and how it reacts. Computer-based and traditional laboratory techniques are used to obtain, organize and analyze data. Conclusions are developed using both qualitative and quantitative procedures. Topics include, but are not limited to: measurement, atomic structure, electron configuration, the periodic table bonding, gas laws, properties of liquids and solids, solutions, stoichiometry, reactions, kinetics, equilibrium, acids and bases, and nuclear chemistry.

In Mr. Gleason's classroom, we are here to learn, synthsize and apply the rules of Chemistry to our every day lives. Students are responsible for daily bellwork, classwork, homework, quizzes and exams. Not all work is graded, but all work is essential to understanding how Chemistry works in all aspects of human life.

Assignments are posted on the Assignments page, as well as the Calendar. If you are absent, please make sure to take a look as to what you may have missed. The calendar can be added to your personal devices to make sure you never miss a deadline, so please ask Mr. Gleason if you have any questions.

Mr. Gleason is available Monday, Wednesday - Friday for Power Hour. Please do nto hesitate to contact me if you are needing help in Chemistry! My door is always open to those who want to excel!
