    Beth McCall is the newest member of the Marion County School Board, having been elected in August 2016.  A certified fundraising executive, McCall is a familiar face in local public education. She was a third grade teacher at Howard Elementary School, executive director of the Public Education Foundation and Munroe Regional Medical Foundation, and is known in the community for her work with more than a dozen non-profit organizations.

     

    McCall earned her Bachelor of Science in education from Eastern New Mexico University and holds a Master of Management and Leadership degree from Webster University. 

     

    She is a Class X graduate of Leadership Ocala/Marion and has been honored by Phi Delta Kappa, Ocala Women’s Network, Junior League of Ocala, and the Metropolitan Rotary Club of Ocala.  She previously served on boards of directors with the UF Lady Gator Boosters, Public Policy Institute, Marion County Children’s Alliance, Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, and the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations. She currently serves with the Central Florida Master Choir, Tuscawilla Heritage Committee, and the Ocala Symphony Orchestra.

     

    She and her husband, Wayne, have three grown children, all graduates of Marion County Public Schools, and six grandchildren.

     

    McCall’s current board term runs 2016-2020.
