Lt Col Gool is the Senior Aerospace Science Instructor at North Marion High School.  His mission is to give cadets enrolled in the JROTC program the tools they need to be good citizens and succeed in life.  By instilling the Air Force core values of Integrity First, Service Before Self and Excellence In All We Do, and building the cadets' leadership ability, they should be prepared whether going on to college, going into the military or entering the work force.

Lt Col Gool was born and raised in Iowa and entered the Air Force right out of high school.  After serving for four years enlisted, he got out of the Air Force and went to the University of Iowa where he joined the ROTC program.  After commissioning, he served another 22 years in the Air Force.  His assignments include being on the Air Staff at the Pentagon, Recruiting Squadron Commander at Moody AFB, GA, and ROTC Detachment Commander at California State University, San Bernardino.
