Marion Afterschool Programs provides before and/or after school childcare services at 39 school sites throughout Marion County. Nearly 3,000 students participate in this program every day.
Hours of Operation: based on the Marion County Public Schools Calendar;
Morning Hours: 6:30am - School Bell
Afternoon Hours: School Bell until 6:00pmMarion Afterschool Programs accepts eligible students who are in Kindergarten thru 8th grade. MAP does not accept Pre-K or VPK students.
Please Note: The number of children enrolled at each site is determined by how much physical space is available and the number of staff employed.
Marion Afterschool Programs are available every day school is in session, including Early Release days.
This is a flat rate, fee-based program.
Marion Afterschool Programs provides a variety of programming including but not limited to:
- Programming aimed at giving students a chance to socialize while learning
- Wellness programs that stress proper nutrition, exercise and the mind/body connection.
- Enrichment that aligns with Florida Standards
- Center-based activities.
- Focus on literacy
- Allows time for completing homework in our Homework Zones
Our Mission: To enrich the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social well-being of our students by creating dynamic learning experiences before and after school.

MAP NEWS
Due to transitioning to ELEYO for the 22/23 school year, please be sure your account ends this school year with a zero balance. Credits will not automatically transfer into ELEYO to be applied to tuition for the new school year.
Accounts must be paid in full (including late payment fees) by 11:59pm on Monday, May 23rd, in order for students to attend MAP the remainder of the last week of school.
Beginning June 6th, 2022 we are excited to use Eleyo for easy-to-navigate online registration and payments.
This online system will enable you to:- Register for all programs
- Check account balances
- Make payments
- Print receipts and child care tax statements
- Request schedule changes
- Manage account from any device, including your smartphone or tablet

MAP will accept online payments only. No checks, cash, or money orders will be accepted.
Due to recent staff shortages, we are utilizing substitute staff at many sites.
Please be prepared to show your I.D. when asked.This request is in keeping with the current M.A.P Parent/Student Guidelines, “…All students must be signed out by a person who is authorized to pick up your child and that person must show a photo I.D.”
