    Mu Alpha Theta is the National High School and Two-Year College Mathematics Honor Society with over 75,000 student members in more than 1,500 schools. We are dedicated to inspiring keen interest in mathematics, developing strong scholarship in the subject , and promoting the enjoyment of mathematics in high school and two-year college students.

    Mu Alpha Theta achieves these goals here at West Port by providing tutoring and participating in competitions. 

    3.5 GPA in all math classes, 3.0 overall, complete 15 hours of tutoring, attend meetings, teacher recommendation

    Grade Levels: 9-12
    Dues:  $10 for new members Algebra II and above. $5 for existing members and members pre Algebra II
    Activities: We attend two competitions a year, one in January, one in March. There is ongoing tutoring in the Mrs. Quigley's room during Power Hour Monday-Friday.

    Tutoring:

    Underclassmen: 1 day a month

    Seniors: 2 days a month
