Job Readiness Kit
The Job Readiness Kit will expose students to vocational information that will help high school students with job readiness, interview skills, and pre-employment skills. These videos will focus specifically on issues pertaining to those with disabilities with a bilingual/bicultural approach.
Driver’s Education KitThe Job Readiness Kit will expose students to vocational information that will help high school students with job readiness, interview skills, and pre-employment skills. These videos will focus specifically on issues pertaining to those with disabilities with a bilingual/bicultural approach.
Fingerspelling KitFingerspelling is most often utilized to spell people’s names, places, books, film titles, products and other words for which no sign exists. It can also be used for spelling words for clarification or if a person does not know the sign. Spelling words with hand movements can also be used to emphasize or clarify a particular word which is a common practice when educating students. This kit is imperative to the success of learning sign language.
English Skills, Figurative Language, and Idiom KitIdiomatic expressions are part of American culture and literature. Understanding idioms and where the figurative language derived from is imperative to understanding American culture, our history, and increasing the students’ schema. This will also help teachers’ present idioms as non-arbitrary features of language. Deaf students will gain a bicultural and bilingual understanding. Language impaired students will benefit greatly from the common sound patterns and rhythmic nature of idiomatic and figurative language.

Pragmatic Play KitThe pragmatic play kit is a fun and unintimidating approach to teaching sign language and encouraging social skills. The games will also encourage language acquisition in all ages from pre-kindergarteners to parents (and hopefully grandparents too!).
Early Language Development KitThe Early Language Development Kit is imperative to the ASL Lending Library as it enables early intervention and teaches basic sign language skills to clinicians, teachers, and parents. ASL has its own grammar system, separate from that of English, meaning it has its own rules for phonology, morphology, syntax, and pragmatics. It is vital that a child comprehends ASL’s grammatical structure in order to later develop a strong language foundation for literacy in English.

S.T.E.M. Media KitThe S.T.E.M. Media Kit will connect students to the world around them by helping observe, collect, create, and share their own videos that can be preserved for years to come.
