Ms. Shannon Singley

Ms. Singley began her theatre career as part of troupe #6380 at Eastside High School in Gainesville, FL. Following high school, she directed and performed in multiple community theatre productions including The Crucible,  The Glass Menagerie, and The Hoggetowne Medieval Faire's Living Chessboard.

Ms. Singley received her undergraduate education from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. There, she double majored in both Theatre and Psychology, with an emphasis on Directing as part of her Theatre education.

She then spent five years working in a roadhouse theatre (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Receiving_house) where she learned hands-on techniques for building, arranging, designing, coordinating, stage managing, and other relevant contemporary tricks of the trade.

While working at the Phillips Center, Ms. Singley was accepted to NYU's Educational Theatre program, which she completed in the summer of 2016 with a Masters degree. While in this program, she studied in both London, England and Dublin, Ireland.

She is so proud to now belong to such a high-achieving school as West Port as a beginning teacher.
