The course is dedicated to outstanding medical training for the college preparation student as well as part- or full-time employment in entry-level medical positions. The program features a unique professional partnership with local medical facitlities, job shadowing, special program training labs, and the use of the latest technology for hands-on classroom learning. All students must be a member of HOSA, have transportation and purchase a uniform. Upon completion of this course, students have the opportunity to take the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) industry certification exam. In preparation for this test, students will use medical and office assistant simulation software, which will enhance the existing CMAA coursework and allow students to experience real world scenarios in the classroom. Students must be present the day before an event in order to participate.
