Ms. Jordan

My name is Ginger Jordan and I will be your child's third grade teacher this year.  I am looking forward to teaching your child and establishing an educational partnership with you this school year.  I'll begin by sharing a little about myself to help you get to know me.

I grew up in Florence, South Carolina and lived there until I finished high school.  Afterwards, I moved to Louisiana, New Jersey, and finally settled down here in Ocala.  I enjoy reading, watching movies, and spending time with my family.  I am a HUGE Disney fan! I try to get down there every chance I get.  I consider myself a life-long learner and I am always in search of knowledge.  I am currently a grad student at Ashford University earning my Master of Arts in Education Studies with a specialization in Reading and Literature.  I previously earned my bachelor's degree from Ashford and graduated Magna Cum Laude.  This school year will be my 10th year with Marion County Public Schools.  I have experience in classrooms ranging from kindergarten to 5th grade, and even with 11th and 12th graders.  I am happy to finally be settling in and teaching 3rd grade this year.

My goal as a teacher is to help each of my students reach his or her full potential.  I want to instill in my students a desire to learn that will stay with them throughout their lives.  I respect each child as an individual and will tailor instruction based on individual learning needs.  Your child and I will work together to set learning goals and we will measure progress throughout the year.  Your support will play a huge role in your child achieving these goals.  Feel free to celebrate all the learning gains made along the way!  This will help keep your child motivated and moving forward.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.  The best way to reach me is by email.  This will allow me the opportunity to reply back to you during non-instruction time.  You can also call the school and leave a message with the receptionist.  She will be sure to get your message to me right away.  I'm really looking forward to this great educational partnership and watching your child excel!

Sincerely,

Ms. Ginger Jordan
