I currently teach second grade at Evergreen Elementary School, home of the Eagles! I love my school and I love the students I work with everyday. A little about me, I was born in Eustis, Florida and grew up in Umatilla, Florida. I am a graduate of Umatilla High School, Home of the Bulldogs. After graduating, I attended Lake-Sumter State College, and received my Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies. I went on to further my education at Saint Leo University, where I received my Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Human Services. I wasn't satisfied with just a Bachelor's degree. As I thought about my dream and calling, which was teaching, I decided to move in to the field of education. I earned my Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, at Liberty University.
Throughout my years of being a student in school, I had some special teachers who were there for me. They believed in me and pushed me to my greatest potential. This is why I have such a passion to teach. I really strive to be like those teachers that I had, who made a difference in my life. I hope that I am a teacher that my students will always remember. It is my goal and my mission to encourage students to learn, understanding that they have the freedom to observe and explore the world around them, so that they can make those "real-life" connections. I am blessed to be able to do what I love each and every day, and make an impact in the lives of the students at Evergreen Elementary School, where GREAT THINGS ARE HAPPENING!
