    • Know the meaning of the notation E(X) and Var(X)
    • Calculate the mean, E(X), of a random variable X
    • Calculate the variance, Var(X), of a random variable X
    • Use the formulae E(X) = np and Var(X) = np(1-p) for a binomial distribution
