15 semester hours or 300 inservice points
K-12 ESOL Coverage
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in TESOL and Basic Subject Area Coverage
K-12 ESOL coverage:
Passing score on ESOL Subject Area Test; Basic Subject Area Coverage and 6 semester hours or 120 inservice points.
3 semester hours or 60 inservice points. 3 semester hours or 18 inservice points. 3 semester hours or 60 inservice points.TIMELINESTIMELINESTIMELINESTIMELINES 6 years allowed for completion of ESOL Endorsement (one year grace period in first two years for new teachers).
3 years allowed for K-12 ESOL Coverage obtained by a passing score on ESOL Subject Area Test.
2 years allowed for completion. 1 year allowed for completion. Hires prior to Sept. 5, 2003 = 3 years allowed for completion from Sept. 5, 2003.
Hires after to Sept. 5, 2003 = 3 years allowed for completion from date of hire as a school administrator or guidance counselor.
Teachers, Administrators, Guidance Counselors and Support Personnel may register for ESOL Online Moodle Training through TrueNorth Logic.
