Chapter 18 – Integration
When students have completed this lesson they should be able to:
- Understand and be able to find integrals using both direct and reverse substitution
- Find new limits of integration when a definite integral is evaluated by substitution
- Recognize the form ∫f’(x)/f(x) dx, and be able to write down the integral at sight
- Know and be able to apply the method of integration by parts
Chapter 19 – Differential Equations
When students have completed this lesson they should be able to:
- Find general solutions of these equations, or particular solutions satisfying given initial conditions
- Know the relation connecting the derivatives dy/dx and dx/dy, and understand its significance
- Formulate differential equations as models, and interpret the solutions
