• Chapter 16 – Integration

     

    When students have completed this lesson they should be able to:

    • Understand the term “indefinite integral” and the need to add an arbitrary constant
    • Integrate functions which can be expressed as sums of powers of x, and be aware of any exceptions
    • Know how to find the equation of a graph given its derivative and a point on the graph
    • Know how to evaluate a definite integral
    • Use definite integrals to find areas

     

    Chapter 17 – Volume of Revolution

     

    When students have completed this lesson they should be able to:

    • Find a volume of revolution about either the x- or y-axis
