All About Beta Club
Welcome to Beta Club!
The National Junior BETA Club has been in existence since 1934. Our school has been a member of this organization since 1998. The Mission of the BETA Club is to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among our 5 – 8 grade students. The BETA Club’s motto is “Let Us Lead by Serving Others”. BETA members work with the VFW Home in Fort McCoy and help at school functions. Beta members volunteer for community service on their own, but also plan at least two school wide projects a year. In November, club members go to a State Convention in Orlando and compete with other Beta members around Florida in academics, visual arts and talent.
The BETA Club meets after school on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. If you are interested in joining the BETA club the criteria for membership is:
- Earn and maintain a 3.5 grade point average
- Do at least 2 hours of community service per month
- Attend BETA Club meetings
- Exhibit leadership, honesty, integrity, and have a teacher recommendation
