    MRS. ELOMAA

    Welcome to my page!

    Dear students and families,

This is an unusual adventure that we are all on right now.  Schools are closed, but we want the learning to continue.  There are resources and programs that can help us communicate and learn.  Student portals have i-Ready, MyOn, Social Studies Weekly, etc. that they have already been using in the classroom.   Students should complete i-Ready Reading and Math (aim for 45 minutes per week/check with your classroom teacher if they have specific assigned i-Ready lessons) and read at least 20 minutes daily in addition to assignments posted by classroom teachers.  Also, students have a special each week with an assignment which will be in the areas of Art, Music, or Physical Education.  They will need to visit their special areas teacher pages.  For fourth and fifth grade students, the upcoming weeks' schedules are below.

    4/20-4/24:  PE

    4/27-5/1:  Art

    5/4-5/8:  Music

I hope that during this time we can work as a team to make progress, and I want to ensure you that I am available to assist if support is needed. I am on ClassDojo.  If your child's teacher has a ClassDojo page and I give support to your child, I am currently linked to the class.  I am accessible through your classroom teachers' pages on Microsoft Teams or Google Classroom.   Please view your classroom teachers' pages to find out what programs they are using. I can also be reached by email, Zoom, and my Google Voice # 904-385-0452.   My home office hours during this time will be 11am-1pm, but I will be checking in to class pages, email, etc. frequently throughout the day for questions and messages, and will try to accommodate your schedules as well.

To my students, I miss you all!  Stay healthy, and I hope to see you soon.

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. Elomaa

    LISTEN TO THE MUSTN'TS

    Listen to the MUSTN'TS, Child.

    Listen to the DON'TS,

    Listen to the SHOULDN'TS,

    The IMPOSSIBLES, the WON'TS.

    Listen to the NEVER HAVES,

    Then listen close to me-
