  • Online Assignments Help: We now have a Parent Help Desk available to answer your technology questions.  The number is (352)867-2100 and the Help Desk is available 7:30am-4:30pm Monday through Friday.  

    Students who need to access their Google Classroom assignments can do so by logging into their Marion County portal.

    - Click on the Google Apps link at the bottom of the home page on their portal.

    - Click on the Google Classroom tile. If the computer they are using is linked to a gmail or other Google account, you need to first log out of that account and sign in with the student's marionstudents account. 

    - Use the code: g6mva47

    - There are class codes for Newsela and Vocabulary.com. Please feel free to visit these sites anytime and read an article or practice your vocaulary. 

    If the assignment needed is in Newsela - go to that site and log in using the Google account using the marionstudents log in information.

    - Students then need to go to the Binder, click on the Binder, and scroll down to see finished and unfinished assignments. 

    CommonLit help - be sure to sign in with your student login and school password. Complete all activities with the text. I am hearing from parents that it helps if the email from the school portal is open. Class code is NDGR7V

    I just tried to log in as a student and here is what I learned:

    If the student email and password do not work, or the Google sign-in does not work, you will have to sign up as a new user. Put in your first and last name as well as your school email (using the ending @marionstudents.net) and the school password (the one you use to log into the computers). If a pop up menu shows up click on the link that states it is not you and add a new account. That should get you in and the next time you log in you will only have to sign in using the Log in with Google button.

    I think the biggest problem is that most are using parent computers and those computers are logged in with gmail accounts. The google account needs to be switched to the student school account. This can be done by logging into Google and switching accounts using the link in the upper right hand corner when you are on the Google search page. Try switching and see if it helps.
