National History Day is a competition based on historical inquiry and presentation. Students conduct research about a historical movement, event or person based on the theme (for 2020) "Breaking Barriers" and then create one of 5 types of projects or presentation formats for their research: Paper, Exhibit, Performance, Documentary or Website. Students can work individually or as part of group (3-5 students). The projects are judged at Marion County History Fair (February, 2020), the winning entries go on to the State History competition (May, 2020) and then the National competition (June, 2020) in Maryland. For more information/assistance: see Mr.Quiñones or Ms.Tromley.
