About Me:

My name is Kate Nadolny and my primary instrument is voice, specifically mezzo-soprano.  I attended Stetson University and earned my Bachelor's in Music Education, Cum Laude.  While there, I studied music education with Dr. Ann Small and voice with Dr. Craig Maddox.  Along with performing in such operas as The Marriage of Figaro and Dido & Aeneas, I was heavily involved with the American Choral Director's Association, the National Association of Music Educators and Sigma Alpha Iota, the music fraternity for women.

Upon graduating, I headed to Ann Arbor, Michigan to attend the University of Michigan to gain my Master's degree in Vocal Performance.  I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Stephen Lusmann, Stanford Olsen, Dr. Jerry Blackstone, and Martin Katz.  Throughout the course of my studies, I have been taught to sing in Latin, Italian, German, French, Russian and Czech.

When I finished at the University of Michigan, I began my teaching career at Hillsdale College, teaching voice to a studio of 30 students. During the summers, I have performed for opera companies such as Seagle Music Colony and Des Moines Metro Opera.

I am currently a member of the American Orff-Schulwerk Association's Heart of Florida Orff chapter, the Florida Music Educators Association, and the Florida Elementary Music Educators Association. I hold the offices of Secretary for the Marion County Music Association and President for Sigma Alpha Iota's Volusia County Alumnae Chapter.
