MADISON STREET ACADEMY FOR THE VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS DRAMA PROGRAM
The Drama curriculum at Madison Street Academy is based on the proposition that the best way for young people to learn, understand and appreciate the theatre arts is through direct participation. The program is committed to developing life skills in students through participation in the theatre arts and believes in providing creative outlets, structure and discipline for our students.
The Madison Street Academy Drama Program provides young people multiple opportunities to explore and develop their interests and lay a solid foundation in all aspects of theatre. Classes and extra-curricular programs such as Creative Drama for Beginners, Theatre Tech Team and The Madison Street Players promote self-confidence, communication, creativity and service, as well as give students the necessary skills to grow as artists, actors, technicians and individuals.
The progressive program encourages each student to find his or her own voice as they advance through a six year curriculum that revolves around an interactive, hands-on program that celebrates young student’s spirit, creativity and fresh perspective.
