Mrs. Victoria Bellow

Welcome back! I am returning with anticipation of another fun filled year here at Howard Middle School.  I enjoy science and hope you will too.  At least give it a try since all that you learn here this year will help you succeed in high school science classes!  Work smarter not harder.....Study now and use what you know again later.  It should help to make high school science so much easier for you.  Learn what you need to know now, and experience the long lasting benefits of knowledge (and outstanding grades).  Life science class is one of the foundations for high school sciences success.  Understanding science can give you much knowledge that you will use the rest of your life.  Who knows, you may find a passion that leads you to a science related career!

I expect each of you to come prepared by completing your own work to the best of your abilities.  With good effort, diligence, and a positive attitude, success is sure to come your way!  Come responsibily prepared for class, show genuine effort, and be respectful of yourself and others and I'm sure we'll enjoy a great year together.  Attitude is everything!  Please always TRY to do your best!

Included here you will find the course syllabus, the grading policy, student expectations, materials needed, and classroom procedures and rules. Students will be provided unit specific information for their notebooks as we cover each of the different units this year.  This information is to be kept permanently in the student's binder.  In addition, students will work in composition books creating general reviews for their quarterly and final exams.  A safety contract with both parental and student signatures and a working emergency contact phone number  will also be required for lab participation.

And parents, thank you for having interest and being supportive in your child's educational future.  With all of us working together it should be a wonderful year!   Should you need to contact me I can be reached either via phone or email.
