Our goal in Intensive Reading is to equip students with comprehension strategies so they are successful in every class.  This course is not only designed to improve reading comprehension and vocabulary knowledge but it is also designed to increase students' test scores so they can meet their reading requirement for graduation.  Please view the syllabus to learn more about the course and how I run this class.  Feel free to contact me with any questions.

 Marion County Public Schools may record online classroom sessions utilizing third-party platforms (Zoom, Teams, Google Classroom, etc.). These recordings will only be used for educational purposes and may be shared on other learning platforms. If you do not want your child's image or identifying information recorded, utilize your device/platform controls to stop the camera feed from your device.

We will use two main interfaces in this course.

Reading Plus is where you will do Reading and Vocabulary lessons each week for the bulk of your graded assignments.  Microsoft Teams is where where we will meet as a class.  We can communicate, meet in small groups and collaborate with each other on Microsoft Teams.  It's important that you become familiar with both Microsoft Teams and Reading Plus.
