My name is Ginnette Rivera. I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where I received all my education. I completed a B.A. in Spanish Education at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus (La UPI) in 1995. That same year I started teaching and haven't stopped since. This marks my 23rd year in education! I taught Spanish in Puerto Rico for 11 years, in West Port for 9 years, and this is my 3rd year as a guidance counselor. In 2000 I married Ricardo García Suárez, English teacher here at West Port. In 2006 I was "forced" into exile from Puerto Rico to Florida, and February of the following year saw the beginning of my career at West Port High. My husband and I have two beautiful and smart boys, RJ (15) and Gabo (3).
