Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Janice David

After high school, I entered the University of Georgia to study Animal Sciences.  I transferred to the University of Maryland, changing my  major and earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology.  I worked as a lab technologist for Prince George's County General Hospital, then was hired by the Food and Drug Administration to work in the pertussis vaccine research lab.

I am certified to teach Biology by the State of Florida, and I have been teaching here at West Port High School since the school opened in August 2000.   I am a big fan of the creative arts, and thrilled that WPHS is Marion County's magnet school for the Arts.

I'm looking forward to working with some of the best and brightest of the classes of 2024 and 2025.
