My name is Kim Merritt. I was born in Colquitt Georgia. I graduated from Valdosta State College where I met my husband John Merritt. We were blessed with a son, Alex and daughter-in-law, Shannon. I have dog, Ollie and a granddog Chewie. 

I have been teaching for 29 years. Shady Hill has been my home since 2001. I am currently teaching Kindergarten and have also taught First, Second, and Third grades. 

I enjoy working out at the gym, going to the movies 🍿🥤and just hanging at home. Another one of my favorites is going back home to my family farm which gives me the opportunity to help out or just play.🐂🚜🥜🌽

Kindergarten is an everyday adventure. I love watching my students learn and grow throughout the year. I especially love listening to their entertaining conversations, but the most rewarding gift to me is when they realize what they've learned!
