Digital Information Technology
This course is designed to provide an introduction to information technology concepts and careers as well as the impact information technology has on the world, people, and industry and basic web design concepts. The content includes keyboarding, information technology career research; operating systems and software applications; electronic communications including e-mail and internet services; basic HTML web commands and design; and emerging technologies and web page design.
Students will have the opportunity to earn the Microsoft Office Specialist certifications in Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Outlook. Students who successfully pass a certification exam demonstrate professional-level skills and knowledge in the Microsoft Office Suite of products. This certification is the only globally recognized credential that validates technical expertise in the business productivity application within the Microsoft Office Suite.
Bright Futures/Gold Seal Scholarship
