Welcome to my Spanish Class! I am a Newyorican. This term is used when you were born in New York but your parents we born in Puerto Rico. However I was raised in Puerto Rico since I was three years old. Therefore, I was raised with the Caribean Culture and Traditions, and I love it. I love our customs and traditions that we have as Caribean Hispanics. I am very excited and grateful to teach the Hispanic culture to students at Lake Weir High School. I am also very greatful to be able to teach you all the Cultural Diversity we have here. I am so proud to be your teacher.
We will have lots of fun while learning Spanish. We will learn Spanish with songs, rhymes games and more. To be successful in my class you will have to express yourself in the target language, Spanish. You will write, speak, read, and listen in the target language, Spanish. My goal is to help every student to be successful. I believe in you! You just need to believe in yourself!
I am looking forward to teaching you and getting to know you. My job is to lead you with love. If not me, who? As my student, it is expected that you will follow my example. You will lead by love. Because if not you, who? If you need my help or my assistance, do not hesitate to send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I have been living in Ocala since 1991. I came with my three daughters for a new beginning and a better future. I am an immigrant from the Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico. Even though Puerto Rico is a territory of US, we are still viewed in society as immigrants. I became a teacher with MCSB in 1993. My children were raise in Ocala. I love Lake Weir High School . I have been here since 2008. Is for this reason, I see all of you as my extended family. And as a family, we develop love and respect for one another.
Bienvenidos a nuestro mundo, cultura y tradiciones.
