Mrs. Jackson

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Jackson

Hi there! I'm Mrs. Jackson. I teach 2nd grade at Ward-Highlands Elementary School. This is my 15th year of teaching. I've taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade. I have 3 boys and 1 dog. I'll be celebrating 20 years of marriage this November. In my spare time I enjoy working in the yard or reading. On the weekends you will usually find me at the lacrosse field watching my boys play.  I'm so glad you stopped by my webpage. Take a look around.

  • Students will need the following supplies for the start of schoo:

    *2 composition notebooks

    *pack of gluesticks

*over the ear headphones if your child doesn't want to use the earbuds I have

*personal pencil sharpener that holds shavings

MARION COUNTY – Parents and their students in Marion County have until 10AM tomorrow to choose between face-to-face and online learning for the new school year starting Monday.

If no choice is provided, enrollment defaults to traditional face-to-face learning.

Earlier today, Marion County School Board members agreed to the hard cutoff so schools can better prepare for opening day.  After 10AM tomorrow, the district will put a moratorium on changes for two weeks so schools can stabilize student enrollments and class schedules.

The original deadline was extended earlier this summer as a courtesy for families to explore both traditional face-to-face and MCPSonline learning.

The district expects upwards of 30,000 students, or about 70 percent of total enrollment, to show up for face-to-face classes starting Monday. The remaining 13,000 students will attend MCPSonline classes.  As a reminder, parents made choices based on a nine-week commitment.
