Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Christine Larson

My name is Christine Larson.  This is my 12th year at Greenway teaching first grade.  I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio.  I have Bachelor's Degrees in English and Biology from Ohio Dominican College. I had the priviledge of attending Oxford University in Oxford, England to study British Literature and British Politics and Society.  In addition I have a Post Bachelor's in Medical Technology from Ohio State University.  Years later, after raising two children, I decided to go back to school in order to begin a new career and received a Masters of Education in ESOL from National University in Sacramento, California.  I am highly qualified, holding  Florida Professional Teaching Certification with an ESOL endorsement.

Teaching is my second career; my first being in the medical field.  I find that teaching is where I am truly meant to be.

I love teaching first grade and being able to help the students learn their foundational skills that will ensure their success throughout their lives.  I love the moments when their eyes light up because they finally understand a concept or they can finally read.  I truly believe that all children can learn and I hope to be able to positively impact each student whom I have been given the priviledge to nurture.  I also hope to instill in them the love of reading which will last them a lifetime.

I love cats, reading, nature, the beach, traveling, painting, puzzles and antiques.
