Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Lynnor Goodwin

I grew up in Ohio and moved to Marion County, Florida shortly after graduating high school. My husband and I own a small farm in Citra, so we are members of the community in which I teach. We have two sons and two daughters, many grandchildren, and even a few great-grandchildren. Most of them live farther away from us than we would like, but we get to spend a great deal of time with the family of my youngest son who also live in the North Marion Middle boundaries. Besides spending time with family, I also enjoy mountain biking, reading, and crafting. I also enjoy animals, especially my two dogs, Roxer and Taffy.

I started working at North Marion Middle while my son was a student here eighteen years ago. I started as a classroom paraprofessional and loved my job so much, I decided to go back to school and earn my teaching degree. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Exceptional Student Education from Barry University in 2009. I hold certifications in Elementary Education, Exceptional Student Education, and Middle Grades Interated Curriculum. I am hold an endorsement in English for Speaker's of Other Languages. This is my ninth year in the classroom as a teacher and I have never regretted my decision to take up the challenge of teaching. Besides my classroom duties, I also participate in Civil Air Patrol as a senior member of our North Marion Middle squadron and assist with the coaching of the cross country and track teams.

I look forward to a successful year for my students and myself. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I can be reached through the school at 352-671-6035 extension 56277 or email me at
