    Dear Parents & Guardians,


    Welcome to a new school year!  I am looking forward to working with your child. As their math teacher, I am excited to start a fresh new year where they will experience hands-on learning with higher order application. Your role in their learning experience is crucial.  I will count on your support in order to help your child to blossom. This page is to inform you of what your child needs for their math class along with my expectations for a successful year.  If there is a hardship please do not hesitate to let me know and we will discretely make provision for your child.

    Block A Days and B Days:  A days are the odd number, we will meet with periods 1, 3 and 5.  B days are even numberrs, we will meet with periods 2, 4 and 6.  Period 5 is the online class.  Go to your desktop, office 360, Teams, and look for Math tile.   


    Planners:  Students must have their agenda planners with them everydayYour 1st period teach will give you your planner.  Students are expected to record homework, test, and quiz dates along with any other important information in their planner at the beginning of each class period.     Class Supplies:   You will not need all of your supplies at first, just bring a couple of folders, note books and a few pencils .  Each student in my class this year will need  (1) SUPPLY of loose-leaf paper (wide ruled) and graph paper (2) SUPPLY of pencils, SUPPLY of BLUE pens  (3) 2 packs of 3 x 5 index cards  (4) 1-Composition Notebook for Math notes.


    Grades:   Student grades will be determined by the following three categories and percentages:

    Tests/Projects…………………... 50%

    Class Work/Quizzes…………………........40%


    Class Rules: 

    The following rules must be adhered to at all times:   Students must be kind and respectful to the teacher and to their classmates.  Students need to comply with the first request given.  Students must be on time, prepared, and ready for class to start as soon as the bell rings. Students will be expected to raise their hands when they want to speak or get up out of their seats. Students will be expected to keep their hands and feet to themselves. Students must comply with the Marion County Code of Conduct.  The Code of Student Conduct booklet is being sent home on the first day of school with each student.

    Consequences to Behavioral Infractions:

    1st:  A Verbal Warning (Yellow) 2nd: Classroom Intervention (Orange) 3rd: Time-Out/ Parent Contact (Red)

    4th: A Formal Discipline Referral will be submitted to Student Services.  (Please sign and return the Behavior Contract at the beginning of the year to show your support).

    Absences:  Students will be given an opportunity to turn in all work missed during an absence.  It is the student’s responsibility to record and to complete the missing work assignments.
