This is my second year at Dunnellong Middle School, and I came bringing experiences from decades of teaching in a variety of different settings..  I have taught students of all grade levels, 1-12 as a Teacher of Gifted.   She taught 6th grade math and social studies at a magnet school for the Visual and Performing Arts in Chattanooga, TN, where all teachers were expected to use the Arts to enliven the learning experience.    Since coming to Marion County in summer of 2000,  she has taught Social Studies grades 6-8, worked with Gifted students at Belleview Middle, taught fifth grade at Saddlewood Elementary, then spent seven years teaching Science at Osceola Middle School.

After a rejuvenating year of teaching Art at DMS, Ms. Booher is returning to the sciences.

Why are the sciences so appealing?  It's all about curiousity!

My husband and I live in Marion County, where we share a home with three very rowdy Airedale Terriers and her two horses.  My favorite things are hitting the trails on a horse, hiking, gazing at the sky at night, photography, reading, writing, and spending several weeks in summer in rural Tennessee.   I have also been known to pick up a guitar now and then.
