Students are encouraged to join MTI Career and Technical Student Organizations to gain leadership skills and have the opportunity to attend leadership conferences and compete in leadership events.

The Florida SkillsUSA Championships showcases the best career and technical students in Florida. Contests begin locally and continue through the regional, state, and national levels. The Championships involve a broad scope of major skill events from automotive repair, commercial baking, and sales and marketing, to interview techniques and technical math. Its focus is to reward student excellence, directly involve industry leaders in student evaluations, and keep career education training relevant to business/employers’ needs.
