Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Wendy Armstrong
Ms. Armstrong has been teaching at Reddick-Collier for four years, and prior to coming to RCE she was a fourth grade teacher at Oakcrest Elementary School for four years. This is the second year that the fourth grade team is co-teaching and Ms. Armstrong has taken over the responsibility of teaching Math to a wonderful group of students. Ms. Armstrong was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa where she lived with her family until moving to Ocala in 1980. She graduated from Forest High School in 1983. After graduating High School she went off to college in Pensacola, Florida to The University of West Florida on a softball, basketball, and academic scholarship. At that time is when she started her journey to education but had no idea that it would be thirty years before that dream would be fulfilled. After that first year of college Ms. Armstrong decided to come back to Ocala to be with her family and spent the next year goint to CFCC. During that time she met and married her daughter's father. She instantly became the mother to three beautiful little girls that were 5,3, and 1 years old, so school was out of the question for a while. She chose to work in the Armstrong family business, which took the next thirty years. After raising the three children of her husband and having one daughter of her own the time finally came that she could go back to college and finish what she started..... her teaching degree and all the State Certigications that went along with it. She graduated from St. Leo University! That brings us to where we are today, at Reddick-Collier Elementary.
Ms. Armstrong absolutely loves teaching and the students she teaches!
