Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Karen Strong
I have a wonderful family consisting of three grown children (two are married) and five grandchildren. Two of my grandchildren are in college, one is graduating high school and two others are in middle school. My husband passed away in 2014, but we are a close family who keep his memory alive with loving memories. My hobbies are NFL Football (Favorite teams are Dallas Cowboys as I grew up in Texas, and Miami Dolphins as I have lived in Florida since I got married.); playing the piano and organ, and playing with my precious dog, Jonie who is a Keeshond. I also have a beautiful cat named Ana.
I have always wanted to be a teacher since I was 6 years old. However, I was a stay-at home mom until my children were in high school and then returned to college to get my degree. I also have my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and am both Reading and ESOL endorsed. This is my 23rd year teaching fourth grade at Stanton Weirsdale Elementary. I taught third grade, worked as a computer lab technician, para-professional, and Extended Day Site Coordinator before that.
