Welcome to Mrs. Zahnd's 6th Grade Math Classes!!

  • Welcome back, Everybody!!!

I have really missed you! Although it would be better if we could be together, we are going to do our best and learn as much as possible with distance learning. :)

Please feel free to email me anytime at: Lora.Zahnd@marion.k12.fl.us   I will respond as soon as possible, definitely within 24 hours. I will also have regular office hours where you may send me an email to call you if you have questions about your assignments. Use your student email, and include the phone number where I can reach you.

    • Cambridge office hours will be Monday-Friday from 10:00-11:00am.

    • 6th Grade Math office hours will be Monday-Friday from 1:00-2:00pm.

Also, on Wednesdays, I will have two live ZOOM sessions to answer questions, one for Cambridge classes and one for 6th Grade math. The times will be the same as my office hours. Remember, this is not instructional time, so it is optional. Please note that this time is set aside for questions about assignments. I will send emails if I want to do an instructional ZOOM class with specific dates and times. Any instructional ZOOM lessons will be recorded in case you can't attend or decide you need to review the lesson again. (To use ZOOM, go to https://zoom.us/ then click join a meeting. My zoom code for Wednesdays will be 653-468-9944 beginning April 8th.)

Check my website everyday!! Beginning Wednesday, April 1st, you will use my website to get your daily assignments, view lesson videos/powerpoints, and check on due dates. Most weeks will have three activities that you will need to complete, in addition to 45 minutes of iReady. I will post all work on Mondays with a due date of Friday of the same week. The best part of distance learning is that you can plan the work in the way that works best for you!

Please know that I understand you may feel worried about online school. Please don't worry! It is new for everyone, so we can expect some issues to come up. We are going to handle them as best we can. I am going to be learning a lot from you, too.
