    Hello students and families!

We are currently experiencing some circumstances that we have never encountered before, therefore we had to take some measures to ensure that you, your child, staff, and faculty remain safe and healthy.  As a result, our campus is closed, and we will be embarking on a new adventure with distance learning. Using a learning platform that is familiar is beneficial for students, therefore I have chosen to implement learning through Google Classroom.  Most students have used Google Classroom for my class before, so they will need to access my class through their Google Classroom portal. If a student has an issue getting in or needs the code, please email me as soon as possible so I can get that information to them. My goal is to provide you with some tools to continue the learning we have started this year and also provide materials that I know will benefit you as you head toward high school this fall.  I ask you to please be patient and flexible as we are all going on this journey together.

If you have anything that you need to share or turn in, there are several free apps (such as Adobe Scan) that you can use to scan with a phone and email to me directly, or you can submit through Google Classroom.

Although you are at home, you are still participating in school and there are requirements and expectations that you are expected to meet. All work is required and will be graded. Grades will be entered into Skyward on a regular basis. Please expect 2-3 assignments per week to be posted in addition to working on the reading portion of iReady for 45 minutes per week. You are expected to visit my webpage as well as my Google Classroom every day (Monday-Friday). You are not required to participate in Zoom group meetings, but I strongly encourage it to keep in contact with myself and your classmates. We are stronger together than we are apart!

The very best way to contact me is via email.  In addition, I will have office hours for you to reach out to me with questions, concerns, or if you just need or want to check-in.  My office hours are also posted on this page as well, and I kindly ask that you contact me (via email, phone, or privately scheduled zoom meeting) during these times.  I will get back to you within 24 hours with a response.

During Distance Learning, your assignments and due dates will be posted to my teacher webpage and in Google Classroom.  You are expected to turn in your assignments by the due dates listed on the webpage/Google Classroom.  You can turn things in early, however please make sure to keep track of due dates.  I will be posting material for the quarter each week.  Due dates for assignments will be listed on my webpage as well as in Google Classroom. Please keep track of assignments and their due dates.

In addition, I will also be using Zoom for recorded instruction as well as live instruction. We will also have Zoom meeting times for you to schedule if you have questions or concerns. Please be patient during this process of Distance Learning, as we are all learning about this new method together.  I am looking forward to hearing from you all!  Stay healthy and safe, and please reach out if you need anything!
