    Mrs. Hawkins' First Grade

Each week, your child is required to complete 45 minutes of iReady in both Reading and Math.  A passing score is 67% and above.   I like students to have 2 passed lessons in each subject each week. If your child does not pass a lesson, iReady will have them retake it.  If possible, sit with your child as they retake the lesson to see if you can determine why they weren't successful the first time.

In the classroom, we celebrate when students earn "double smileys" which means they got their time, 2 passed lessons, and an average pass rate of 80% or above for each subject. During Distance Learning, we will celebrate by announcing those students on ClassDojo.

Please also make sure students are reading at least 20 minutes a day whether it is on MyOn, practicing our stories from class, or by reading a book from home.

Additional weekly assignments are located in the current week's tab.

Beginning the week of April 6, there will be at least three assignments per week for Math and Reading, and at least one each for all other subjects.  At least one grade per subject will be taken each week.  Attendance will be taken daily.  These are the county guidelines.
