Our mission is to motivate students and teachers to strive for excellence in academics, where habits of lifelong learning are developed, where responsibility and caring for each other and the environment are fostered, where social and emotional growth is nurtured, and where cooperation among all members of the school community helps prepare students to meet life's challenges.
INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE PROGRAM
In 2007, Lake Weir High School became one of only two high schools in Marion County to become members of The International Baccalaureate Organization (IB). A worldwide, nonprofit education program founded to give all students the opportunity to receive an education fit for a globalizing world.
