    Marion eLearning is operated by Marion County Public Schools under a franchise agreement with Florida Virtual School, a national leader in online instruction. Marion Virtual School offers high quality, technology-based education to middle and high school students living in Marion County. The Internet-based courses may be used to satisfy graduation or promotion requirements, make up credit, or accelerate a program of study.

    Highly qualified Marion County teachers deliver curriculum developed by FLVS to Marion County students. Students receive individualized instruction utilizing the Internet, e-mail, telephone, white board, instant messaging, online collaboration and face-to-face teacher forums. MEL teachers, students and parents have full access to FLVS expertise and experience in what really works in online instruction, instructional management, student management and support and technology infrastructures.

    Marion eLearning teachers communicate individually with students and parents on a regular basis via phone, email, and other forums. Parental involvement and support are key elements for student success in the online environment. MVS Student
