Welcome to your Science class!
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year. This will be a new and different beginning. I'm looking forward to being your teacher this year.
More information to follow as it becomes available. Thank you for your patience.
For the 2020-21 school year, our online point of contact will be Microsoft Teams, which can be accessed through the student desktop.
Teams is an app on the Marion County student portal. It is the selected online platform for distance learning. It is important to know that I will be using Teams in my classroom for face to face students as well as for Distance Learning. In the event that students must switch to distance learning, it is important for students to be prepared to use this platform. Teams is a way for students to collaborate, submit assignments, and join video calls all in one place. Students can also have online notebooks, chat with other students or their teacher, and submit assignments through the app.

Marion County Public Schools may record online classroom sessions utilizing third-party platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.). These recordings will only be used for educational purposes and may be shared on other learning platforms. If you do not want your child’s image or identifying information recorded, utilize your device/platform controls to stop the camera feed from your device.
If you do need to reach out to me, please be advised to allow at least 24 hours for me to respond Monday - Friday only. Responses to questions will not be made on Saturdays, Sundays, and any School Holidays.
All emails will be answered in a timely manner Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. only.
Be patient with yourself and me while we venture into this new learning platform.
I look forward to an exciting year!
