    Distance Learning Information!

    Each student will receive an invitation to his or her student portal to access my Google Classroom.  All assignments will be posted on GoogleClassroom.  They all use the portal at school to get on iReady so they should all know how to get on.  I have included the instructions for your information as well. They will get to their e-mail by clicking on the Office 365 button and then the Outlook button.

    I will be available each day from 9:30-10:30am and again from 1:00-2:00 pm.  This means I will be online monitoring my email in case you have any questions.  You may email me any time you have questions, as I will be checking in often.  I may also be posting guided lessons by video or doing a live Zoom activity at those times.  I will post a message if I am doing one of those lessons.  I will also send a Zoom invitation to each student’s email address on his or her student portal.  

     

    Assignments:

    There are several ways to turn in assignments.  You may scan it directly to my email address anayansi.hedrick@marion.k12.fl.us or you may take a picture and send it as an attachment as long as I can read the work.  You may also send it to me on Google Classroom.  I will send directions on how to do that.  They do not want any papers returned to school directly due to Covid19.

    For those with no online access there will be second grade packets of work available at the school for pick up, starting Wednesday, April 1st.

    Students will be receiving grades on all assignments. 

     

    Daily Attendance:

    I will be turning in attendance each day electronically.  It would make my life easier if you all would just send me a daily email.  One of the reading assignment is a project on MyOn so I will be able to see that they are working on it each day.  I can also see that they are doing their iReady minutes and reading minutes on MyOn.  

     

    Stay tuned for more information.  We will get through this together!  I miss my students but we need to do what is best for everyone to stay healthy and safe!  Please, please, please do not hesitate to email me if you have any questions or concerns or you just do not understand the technology.

    Dear Parents:
     
    We are starting distance learning on Wednesday, April 1.  If you do not have access to the internet you may pick up a packet of work for them to do at school.  This is different than the pack from last week that you may already have.  
         All assignments will be on Google Classroom below are the steps that are supposed to work to get your student on the website.
     
    1. Have your student sign on to the student portal which is the same place the get on iReady and MyOn.  They have a user name and password that they have used all year.  
    2. Click on Office 365 it will prompt you to enter a email address this is your students email address.  It is firstname.lastname@marionstudents.net  Make sure you include the last /s/ on the word students.  Then it will prompt you to enter a password.  The password is the same one they used to get on the student portal.  
    3. You should arrive at a place where you can click on Outlook or you may see a place to download Outlook.  When you click on outlook you may have to type the same email and password in again.  Finally you should see an email invitation from me to join google classroom.  
    4. Click Join.  You will probably have to enter the same email and password again!  
    5. Once you are on google classroom you will click up at the top the word Classwork.  All the assignments and directions are located there with due dates.
    6. You will either have to download and print the math sheets or if you don’t have a printer you may just have them write the question on a piece of paper and do the work.  Then take a picture or scan it back to me so I can grade it and return it to you with comments.
    7. If you still can’t get on GoogleClassroom this way one of the parents said when they got on the student portal at the bottom they saw where it said google classroom when they pushed that they were able to join.  If it asks for a Class Code it is et4hpjt
