Home of the Tigers

Welcome to Dunnellon High School!

           WP 2015                                                                                                                  WP 2016

It is great to be a Tiger! This is an exciting year at Dunnellon High School, as old and new meld into a transformative force to provide our students with a dynamic and unique high school experience. Fresh to the Dunnellon helm is Mr. Wade Martin, who brings with him a rich and colorful tapestry of experience from his work in the Hillsborough County Public School system.

Also new are Assistant Principals Brad Jones, from West Port High School, and Sam McLain, from Citrus High School. Jones, hailing from a sleepy coal town in West Virginia, brings a strong sense of community involvement to our Dunnellon family. McLain, from nearby Inverness, is steeped in promoting a culture of success.

Finally, anchoring down the administrative team, is Jennifer Leeds. Along with her strong community roots and alumni ties, Leeds commands a drive for excellence that is unparalleled.

DHS is home of two district magnet programs: The Power Generation Academy, a unique partnership with Duke Energy and The Advanced Studies Program, which offers students a focused academic curriculum combining Advanced Placement course offerings with increased Dual Enrollment course offerings on the Dunnellon High School campus.

Our students continue to score well on AP Exams and we are also one of only three MCPS schools to offer College of Central Florida classes on our campus and we have expanded the amount of course offerings for 2016.  These are just more reasons that it is GREAT to be a Tiger!!!
